Episode 93 - If Chelmsford Builds It...

Timmy, Rubba Shoes and Adam hash out the arrival of Rasheed Wallace and what infection he might cause amongst the players. The Sox might be going on a Halladay! Could it really be true that Theo could finally sell the farm? No pun intended. What might be the most intriguing story this week is the construction going on at their beloved CHS. What's is going on? Join us and find out on the latest episode of the Wicked Pissa Podcast. It's The TNA (Thursday Night Addition) on Wicked Pissa Dude. Thanks for checking out the show and the blog. Roundtable with Wake, Papi and Tek

I can't believe these are the only three guys that are left on the team from the '04 World Series Champions. Very cool roundtable with Tim Wakefield, David Ortiz and Jason Varitek looking back to the '04 team.

The origins of Cowboy Up. David Ortiz's first at bat.

What more could you want.

Episode 92 - Red White and Bruised

In the end, Adam and Timmy had a great 4th...two very different celebrations, but equally enjoyable.

Adam was in NYC with his wife and sister-in-law for the Shake Shack and ESPN-Zone as well as a visit to Ground Zero and the Statue of Liberty, finished off by fireworks, VERY FUN!!

Timmy's 4th started off a little shakier (see photo to the left) Yup, that's TIMMY'S leg, BEFORE the Carson Memorial race in Chelmsdale. After that fiasco Timmy's 4th was a HUGE celebration with the old Chelmsford crew and the family.

Oh, there were also sports to talk about. The Celtics are getting ready to sign Rasheed Wallace and rumor has it Grant Hill is next. What does this mean for the Green and White? The boys discuss.

Also, Timmy Wakefield made his first All-Star game along with five other Red Sox.

It's Monday night on Wicked Pissa Dude.

Race #6 John Carson Memorial - 7.04.09

Our holiday was red, white and bruised. To say that Team Cameron got off on the wrong foot would be an understatement. We loaded the boys into the family truckster and were just about to head south for Chelmsford when we realized we had forgotten something. As I quickly headed back into the house madness ensued. Hurrying up the front porch my left foot never quite caught any traction with the wet lumber. Ugh! So, the left foot falls off the porch and my right shin (in mid air at this point) grates down the front of the stairs. I left quite a bit of myself on those stairs, it was a fine how do you do at 7:25 am.

We stopped the bleeding (for the time being) and headed to Chelmsford. It was a fun 2 mile run, the most populated course I have ever been on. North Road in Chelmsford is packed with people waiting for the parade that quickly follows. I promised Aidan and Cameron that I would stop and pick them up to do the last 1/8th of a mile together. We did. After all this is what it is all about, Cameron being involved in everyday things and being exposed to "typical" experiences.

Team Cameron (daddy and the boys) finished in 16:42 averaging an 8:21 mile. We'll take it considering the physical circumstances we ran under. The next race is another 5K this Saturday in Portsmouth, NH. We have some healing to do in the meantime. Wish us luck and thank you for all your support thus far. To get involved with Team Cameron go to First Giving - we appreciate all your efforts.

Thank you from Team Cameron

R.I.P. Steve "Air" McNair

When I remember Steve McNair my first thought is of him on the cover of Sports Illustrated when he was Alcorn State saying "is it possible for a small school QB to win the Heisman?" He of course did not win the Heisman, but did become probably the greatest QB in Division 1-AA history. When Steve McNair was drafted by the Houston Oilers he did something that most QBs taken third overall do not do, which is sit on the bench. McNair sat on the bench for the first two seasons of his NFL career learning the NFL game, this shows his respect for the game that most players his age never have (Ryan Leaf).

His first season starting was in 1997 and only two seasons, a "Music City Miracle" later he was in the Super Bowl falling just a yard short of being a champion in the NFL. Steve McNair played 8 seasons for the Houston Oilers/Tennessee Titans and made those fans forget they have not had a great QB since Warren Moon. Though he was signed by the Ravens in 2006 as a free agent and most folks believed that he was on the back end of his career he led the Ravens to a 13-3 record before falling short in the post season. That would be his final "great" season and he would retire in 2008 after a injury plagued 2007 season.

Steve McNair had a great career and will go down as one of the top QB's in this era, and maybe in the top 20-30 quarterbacks to ever play the game. An MVP in 2003 Steve McNair was a tough competitor and a leader on the field. He also had great sportsmanship which I think is rare now a days, even in defeat he was always a class act.

Rest in peace Steve McNair your NFL career will be remembered as a great one.
