There is an old saying, if you love something enough to let it go it will find its way back to you. Well it wasn't a love fest when he left, but who cares? Because he has returned! Nomar back in Boston laundry even if only for a day. Timmy and Rubba Shoes discuss that circle of life and the goes around comes around mentality of the NHL. Will the Bruins retaliate against the Penguins this coming Thursday night? Rubba Shoes is off to go toy shopping and Timmy has his very first NH town meeting. Ayuh! It's all right here complete with a visit from Uncle Dukes "The Big 3" and a fantasy round up. Thanks for listening and have a great weekend.Labels: Big 3, Boston Bruins, Boston Red Sox, nh, NHL, Nomar Garciaparra, rubba shoes, Scotty Dukes, strafford, timmy, uncle dukes

Rubba Shoes went to the Gloves with Timmy and his Dad on Tuesday night and someone got punched in the crotch, can you guess who? Everything seems to be headed south to Florida right now. The Bruins skate twice down there before the Olympic break and Nascar is set to put on it's "Super Bowl" at the Daytona 500. Let's not forget that the equipment truck leaves soon and the Sox will open Spring training in a week. The guys check in with Scotty Dukes to see where some potential deals might be made by the Celtics before the deadline. He'll give his take on the Captains decision to make a go at the All-Star Game in Dallas. All that and a wrap on the world of fantasy sports is right here on the Wicked Pissa Dude weekend preview. Then it's on to Boston sports where none of our teams can catch a break, well maybe with the exception of the Patriots who were pleased to discover that Tom Brady will not need surgery during the off-season...ahhhh at least a breath of air anyway.
With the NBA trade deadline just days away now (Feb. 18th) rumors are swirling around Ray Allen who is in his final year of his contract with the Green Team, we get birthday boy Scotty Dukes in on the show to talk Celts.
Adam even brought up the Bruins for a change and NOT for something good...the B's couldn't even fend off the lowly Hurricanes over the weekend and Adam watched every grueling moment of it on a visit home to MA.
All this and a complete fantasy round-up on the show this week.

We could be talking about Boston or New York, even Gainsville. Alas, it's all about Chelmsford. Coach K has done it again. He has won both the fantasy baseball and now the fantasy football championships in Wicked Pissa Nation. Annoyed, some (Uncle Dukes) shocked, none. This guy has a fricken 4 Square trophy from Russell Mill Swim & Tennis Club. Unreal! Timmy and Rubba Shoes check in with the Coach to confirm that he will make good on his promise to "buy the trophy if he wins the league." Also the guys will discuss why the Bruins game at Fenway made one of them cry. Really? We'll also get Pats predictions from the pigskin prognosticators "Dugan & Dukes." The Celtics are limping off the MASH unit and the Sox are most likely done shopping for the groceries right? So, how is dinner gonna taste this Summer? All that and the "wow Adam never checks his team" roundup. Right here on the Wicked Pissa Dude Podcast. So Rubba Shoes has a cold. He also got cocked over the head with a chair by his son Tyler. All in a days work at the Corey residence where wrestling apparently gets out of hand occasionally. They guys will discuss that fiasco along with the comings and goings on Yawkey Way. How are the Celtics doing and when can we expect a bump in the road? Have the Bruins got enough in the tank for the long haul? Where is Bobby Dugan and what does he think the Pats will do in Southern Canada (sorry) Buffalo. Timmy and Billy will also check the fantasy universe and "rap" it all up with an old school Christmas favorite. It's all here on the Weekend Preview of The Wicked Pissa Dude Podcast. Well, after last weeks performance the Patriots offense has every right to be in a jolly good and cheery mood. Although Tommy and company have made it quite clear that this excursion to Wembley Stadium is a business trip. Nothing more, nothing less. Timmy and Rubba Shoes will talk Patriots and Holy War as well as get the latest on the fantasy front. Celtics and Bruins were both in action as the show was being recorded so they will get into them as well an get picks from Bobby Dugan and Uncle Dukes. New England fans are huddling up for consolation and warmth this week. The Sox done in three. The Pats lose by three. The Bruins come back from down by three to win. In another magic number coincidence, Rubba Shoes joins Adam and Timmy for the weekend wrap up along with a special appearance from the Wicked Pissa voice guy and bachelor Chad. The guys talk about Timmy's birthday / bachelor party weekend, along with what was Rubba Shoes doing at Chunky's? Adam redecorated his house with Jessica and went apple picking with his "little brother" and still has reason to make fun of Timmy in the end. Brace yourself for an action packed episode of the Wicked Pissa Dude Podcast. Can they do it? Will the Patriots be able to tame the horses running wild at 4-0? What will Bill pull out this week to get inside Josh's head? Lots of questions on the gridiron for both the pro and college squads here in the Wicked Pissa Nation. The Sox are underway in their quest to add another ring to the jewelery case, do they still have "it?" How are the Bruins and Habs doing for Timmy and Rubba Shoes? Well it's Thursday so there will actually be some hockey talk to get into. Has Timmy found a new studio yet? All this and the gamut of fantasy scores and stats to review. October is here and has brought the cold temperatures to New England. There is a bluster of mayhem going on here in the City of Champions. Will the Bruins indeed contend for the cup? Are the Red Sox going to dismantle the Angels again just because they always do? Will the Pats deliver the first loss to the crab cake capital of the world? Will Timmy and Gianina finally find the house they have been searching for? All these questions and more will be answered, well most of them will. This week the guys discuss the importance of inoculations. Honestly, they do. Timmy is under the weather as the infamous cold season (first wave) sweeps through the Northeast. Rubba Shoes is hoping for all Canadiens and no Bruins on his fantasy hockey auto-draft team. The Pats host Matty Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons at Gillette this weekend and the Sox head to the Bronx to wrap the season series with the Yanks. All that and a little fantasy Nascar should have you geared up (sorry for the pun) for the weekend. Phil Kessel will soon be gone. His dominion will soon be Toronto if you put any stock in recent reports. I was hoping Toronto Dominion Garden (yes that is what the TD stands for) would be where he would continue to skate. Alas, the Toronto Maple Leafs are the first choice as a landing spot for B's winger Phil Kessel, according to TSN and they could come at the Bruins with an offer sheet this weekend if a deal isn't agreed upon. There is also genuine interest in Kessel on the part of the Nashville Predators and a desire for the B's to ship the 21-year-old to the Western Conference insiders claim. Kessel and his camp are reportedly brokering a deal with Toronto. Sources close to the deal put Kessel in a position to refuse contract offers from other teams so long as the Maple Leafs are interested in his services, and estimates that the B's restricted free agent is in line to cash in on an offer sheet from the Maple Leafs for five or six years at an annual cap hit of $5.5 million. A reversal of momentum at this juncture is unlikely so I wish him well and hope we get great value in return.

So many things have been lost since the last show. The Bills ability to manage the clock and retain possession of the ball. That's a shame. Actor Patrick Swayze lost his battle with cancer. The Bruins and the sport of hockey for that matter lost one of the greatest broadcasters this area will ever know, Fred Cusick gone at the age of 90. Unfortunately, Jerod Mayo might also be added to that list as well, here's hoping it is not for the long term. Well the guys are finally back from Gillette and in the Wicked Pissa Studios to put the wraps on the weekend that was. We'll find out what the bet was between Rubba Shoes and Scotty Dukes for the ND v. Michigan game. The world of sports is a buzz with March Madness and the C's and the B's and the Sox, but not the ORB...nope Timmy and Adam are exchanging recipes and work-out tips. Ok, maybe not recipes, but definitely workout tips, they gotta get in shape for Man Weekend!!This week there's a tranny in the mix and no Eddie Murphy isn't in town, we're talking A-Rod who apparently got off to a rocky start in NYC (was that punn too much of a reach?) Madam Kristen has named our friend A-Rod as one of "her" clients.
Also in the news, the C's and the B's look to be back on track and Schill is hanging up his bloody sock in favor of writing a blog and trashing everybody on EEI...WE LOVE HIM!!

Well the time has come, March Madness is upon us, there are a boat load of college basketball tournaments to watch this weekend, or you could watch some of the Hockey East tournament. The World Baseball Classic will be on all weekend on MLB network, don't forget that the Celtics are on Friday and Sunday and the Bruins on Saturday and Sunday, then Bracketology on ESPN on Sunday night at 6 PM. Although, who cares about March Madness and all this other great sports to watch this weekend? Instead you can check on-demand, netflix or go to you nearest video store and look for some of these great chick flicks to watch with your significant other, Steel Magnolias, Beaches, Pretty Woman, When Harry met Sally, Thelma and Louise, White Oleander, Gone with the Wind, An Affair to Remember or Terms of Endearment. I'm sure if you don't feel like staying in and watching movies you could go to the movies and see Confessions of a Shopaholic or He's Just Not That In To Me. I guess I don't need to do blogs on sports anymore, since it is only Wicked Pissa Dude Radio, not Wicked Pissa Sports Radio. Maybe I will start doing a fringe report on best malls to go to, or the best coffee house to get a non fat latte.
That's it, I am getting rid of all my sports jersey's and t-shirts, turning in my membership to Red Sox Nation, getting rid of my cable box and going to just digital TV. I don't need NESN, ESPN, MLB Network, NFL Network, Versus, ESPN 2, ESPN Classic, SPEED Channel or Comcast Sports Net. I guess we will start talking about how to take care of our lawns and changing our oil on the show from now on. What am I going to do with all these pictures and sports memorabilia? I guess I need to have a yard sale. Maybe I will plant a garden this spring. I don't know what the big deal about watching sports is anyway. I mean I am on a Sports Talk Radio Podcast every week, I blog about sports at least 2 times a week, but I don't need to watch or follow them, do I? Well this is a confused Rubba Shoes Corey, keeping it real?

We discovered some interesting things this week on Wicked Pissa Dude Radio, not the least of which was Billy Corey's choice of footwear. We also got down to business with the Br Br Bruins...there I said it and the Celtics who are each in first place and are tearing up their respective sports. You too could be just like Billy Corey. Get your Pats Crocs at the NFL shop. Click here
The Patriots? Well they are a different story. Struggling to get a playoff birth, the Pats had a decent game against the Dolphins and need a big win against the Steelers this weekend.
Either way it's fall in New England (feels like winter with the windchill) and sports are in the air. Wicked Pissa Dude Radio has every angle covered including the jail angle...listen to the show and find out.

This week on Wicked Pissa Dude Radio we discovered the hidden talents of Timmy, he is a black man trapped in a white Irish guys body and he proved it with his lip synching version of Guy - My Fantasy. With Billy Corey's help we uncovered this hidden talent that Timmy shared with the world at the 1990 Chelmsford High School talent show. Guy - My Fantasy is the Wicked Pissa Pick this week. If you have a Wicked Pissa Pick, e-mail us @ radio@wickedpissadude.com"Thinking about taking a vacation? Book through us...click here
We are working on getting the video of this performance, but until then, this should tide you over...
Oh, there were some sports going on this week as well, like the Red Sox clinching a spot in the playoffs with their match-up already lined up between them and the LA Angels of Aneheim. With no Josh Beckett, will the Red Sox survive?
The New England Patriots this week said farewell to one of the all time greats, Troy Brown retired from the team after 15 amazing season. A true Patriot, Troy Brown will definately be included in the Patriots Hall of Fame, but will he be enshrined in the NFL Hall of Fame? We debate the issue on this weeks show.
And finally, the Bruins are bringing the Stanley Cu...oh wait that's right, they don't have a trophy!! They are however coming to Vermont for a visit to the Ben and Jerry's factory...NOBODY CARES!!

Maybe it’s the impending doom on Wall St. Maybe it’s the incredibly important election that is about to take place. Maybe it’s the fact that I am moving to Connecticut and can’t find a damn place to live. Maybe it’s all of the above. Whatever it is, it’s got me not even paying attention to Boston sports these days.Sure I still watched the Patriots v. Dolphins game on Sunday and almost jumped out my window after the 1st quarter. Yes, I am excited that the Red Sox have officially clinched a playoff berth. I am even happy for the BC Eagles for their big win on Saturday and I can’t wait for the Celtics to hit the court for the first time in the 2008 season.
Here’s an example. I watched the Patriots game on Sunday and didn’t really even care that they lost. So, they are 21-1 now, what does that mean in the grand scheme of things? NOTHING. They could go 10-6 this season and make the playoffs, which they just might do. Maybe they’ll go 12-4 and all will be right with the world. But if they go 6-10 will I jump off the Founders Bridge in Hartford? Probably not.
Here’s the reason, I have no right to complain. I really don’t. The New England Patriots have won more Super Bowl’s in the last decade then any other team, if they have a bad season, hey shiiiii happens. The Red Sox have won more World Series rings in the last decade then any other team, if they don’t make it this year, hey shiiiii happens. The Celtics have more championship banners hanging from the rafters then any other team, if they don’t repeat this year, you get the idea…
Don’t take this the wrong way, I love me some Soxtober baseball. The crisp New England air, the crack of the bat and an ice cold brew to wash down my nachos, I’m lovin it. I will be cheering on the Red Sox louder then anyone else in New England during the post season, but unlike the past, if they lose I will not be devastated and neither should you.
We live in the best sports city in the world. We have dominated and will continue to dominate the major professional sports (sans hockey) and if for one game, for one season, for one championship we don’t dominate, so be it, we’ll get ‘em next year.
That being said…
The Tampa Bay Rays Suck
The LA Angels Suck
The Indianapolis Colts SUCK
The NY Giants SUCK
The LA Lakers Suck
The Montreal Canadians Suck
There I said it…GO SOX!! GO PATS!! GO CELTS!! GO BRUINS!! GO EAGLES!! GO MINUTEMEN!!

In cased you missed it on any number of the media reports from last nights Red Sox game, Fenway Park was sold out for the 456th time which is a MLB record. There is no question this is an amazing feat by the fans of Boston. Not a surprising one for anyone who lives in the City of Champions, but it is amazing. So, congratulations to you Boston sports fans. You made this possible. It is an impressive record and it's not everyday that fans can break a record, but in Boston we set records on and off the field.
What then, if the ownership of the Red Sox decided to build a new and improved Fenway Park (HA like that is possible) what would happen then, would our beloved Red Sox be able to sell out a a 50, 60 or even 70,000 seat stadium? I think you know the answer to this question, DAMN RIGHT they would. There are people throughout New England that would give their right arm to go to a Sox game this season (me included) and if there were enough seats to accomodate that every one of them, we would show up for the good games (the Rays and the Yanks) and the bad games, you know when the Orioles come in to town.
This city is die-hard through and through. It goes Red Sox (sellout every game,) Patriots (sellout every game), Celtics (sellout every game-when they are good) and the Bruins...well maybe we should leave them off the list. We stand by our teams during the ups and the downs. Sure we scream profanities at them during the downs, but hey at least we're still at the stadium.
Cheers to another sellout tonight and here's wondering if the 2nd place Rays will sellout the games against the Red Sox at the Trop next week. Maybe they will.

Maybe the first thing you think of when you think about filmmaker Spike Lee is Malcom X, Do The Right Thing, Get On The Bus or those crap ass commercials with him and Michael Jordan, but for me, it's his ugly mug taunting Reggie Miller on the sidelines of a Knicks v. Pacers game. Sometimes I think of him sitting in seats at the "stadium" taunting the Red Sox. I want to hate on him for that, but I can't, because I know that if I had his money I would be at every Red Sox, Celtics, Patriots and Bruins game with great seats for every one of them, taunting the Lakers, Colts or Yankees fans. So, it was surprising when Spike Lee gave Boston sports teams props during an interview at the Toronto film festival this weekend. He was at the festival promoting his upcoming WWII movie "Miracle at St. Anna." No, it wasn't a glowing endorsement of the greatest city in sports, but it was a nice concession by the loudest loud mouth fan in New York. Take a look...
I do have one particular beef with Spike Lee and I think Timmy and almost every Boston sports fan will back me up on this, he is a fair weather fan. He was seen at the Staples Center during the NBA finals sporting a Lakers jersey. Maybe he's trying to cast Kobe in his next epic movie, "Where The White Women At?"

After watching Sportscenter this morning and having to sit through the painful segment on whether or not Louisville, KY was Titletown USA, I had to try and find a way to end this insanity. So, we here at wickedpissadude.com are starting a petition to implore ESPN to end their search for Titletown USA and officially name Boston, MA Titletown. Everyone knows it is true, but since nobody wants to admit it, I'll refresh their memory.
2001: New England Patriots
2003: New England Patriots
2004: Boston Red Sox
2004: New England Patriots
2007: Boston Red Sox
2008: Boston Celtics
And that is just this decade...nevermind all of the titles that the Celtics have racked up and this is only counting professional teams as well. Please, the argument is over. Sign our petition and send it to every Boston sports fan you know. Let's end this thing now and get it over with.
