Big changes at Wicked Pissa Dude. Adam scored a gig after 9 months on the beach and close to 30 interviews (some in his pj's). Also this is the first episode of the podcast available exclusively on the new server. Another change is the production schedule as Timmy and Adam may be recording the weekend wrap up on Sunday nights when it is possible. This week being the first as Adam heads off to his first day back to the grind on Monday. The guys get right into it with the Celtics and Lakers post game as they welcome a very hung over Uncle Dukes for the "Big 3". Who was the difference maker in the big tilt at the Garden? Timmy has his pick. They also take a look at the almost final fantasy scores for the week that was in Wicked Pissa Nation. Thanks for listening and have a great week.theshow@wickedpissadude.com

So the C's have dropped 4 out of 5 and are only a half game up on the Orlando Magic for the 2 seed in the east. Now I know that I said on TNA that we should not talk about the one seed and what needs to happen with that for Celts to do well in the playoffs blah, blah. Let me rescind that and say "Hold on to the effin two seed at least!" Sorry if that sounded a little panicked, but if you look at this little slide that they are on, let's break it down a little shall we. It would be one thing if they were losing these games to the LA Lakers, Cleveland Cavaliers, or even the San Antonio Spurs. No the C's are losing to the Magic, Heat, Bucks, and Bulls. The only one glimmer of happiness was a win against the Grizzlies and to be honest watching that game I was not sure we were going to win that one either(thank you Ray Ray) all of this points to one thing and that is Kevin Garnett the Celtics miss you terribly. All of the talk that the C's can win with out him "Look they are undefeated with KG out of the lineup!" those days are long gone.
Trust me I am the first to point out that the rest of the team is not on the up and up either with Davis, Scal, TA, and possibly the other Allen (Ray hurt his elbow last night) being out also hurts this team, but when you surrender 127 points to the freakin' Bulls there is a glaring emptiness in the middle of that paint that needs to return.
We all want KG back in the worst way I know this and we all want him back for the stretch run so that means he has to be healthy, but damn watching these games without him is just painful. So in closing Kevin by all means, get well soon, like by this Friday against the Spurs.

Maybe the first thing you think of when you think about filmmaker Spike Lee is Malcom X, Do The Right Thing, Get On The Bus or those crap ass commercials with him and Michael Jordan, but for me, it's his ugly mug taunting Reggie Miller on the sidelines of a Knicks v. Pacers game. Sometimes I think of him sitting in seats at the "stadium" taunting the Red Sox. I want to hate on him for that, but I can't, because I know that if I had his money I would be at every Red Sox, Celtics, Patriots and Bruins game with great seats for every one of them, taunting the Lakers, Colts or Yankees fans. So, it was surprising when Spike Lee gave Boston sports teams props during an interview at the Toronto film festival this weekend. He was at the festival promoting his upcoming WWII movie "Miracle at St. Anna." No, it wasn't a glowing endorsement of the greatest city in sports, but it was a nice concession by the loudest loud mouth fan in New York. Take a look...
I do have one particular beef with Spike Lee and I think Timmy and almost every Boston sports fan will back me up on this, he is a fair weather fan. He was seen at the Staples Center during the NBA finals sporting a Lakers jersey. Maybe he's trying to cast Kobe in his next epic movie, "Where The White Women At?"

It was a fortunate coincidence for the powers that be at ABC. You see, when they planned to do an inspirational story about Leon Powe during halftime of Game 2, they could never have imagined he would be the superstar of Game #2. Powe led the Celtics to a win over the Los Angeles Lakers to lead the NBA finals 2-0.Leon Powe finished the night with 21 points
Every commentator and coach that is interviewed about Leon Powe always mentions how he is ready when called upon. He is the type of player that no matter what he is called on to do, he will do it with heart and it will be done all business. Tonight, he was all business to the tune of . He was the star of the night, but not the only story of the game.
Here's a question. How is Paul Pierce's knee? I think he said it best when being interviewed
before the half by Michelle, he said, "You know my adrenaline is pumping right now baby." First of all, yes he did call her baby. Secondly, I think that's his way of saying, it hurts like hell, but this is the NBA finals and I will play until my leg breaks. If I am on crutches on the duck boats, then I will be on crutches, but if I can walk I will be playing in the NBA finals. That being said, how's the adrenaline treating Paul Pierce? I would say pretty good as he finished the game with 28 points and 8 assists. They brought up again tonight the question that Bob Ryan has asked a couple of times, is Paul Pierce the most explosive offensive player to ever put on a uniform? The answer simply is no, at least in my humble opinion. He is up there, but he is not in the realm of Larry Bird. Mark Jackson thinks it's Larry and Pierce, but Van Gundy thinks you should put Kevin McHale in the mix on this question. Give me all three of them on my team and I'll be happy. So, I guess I am happy, because they all have been on my team!!
It was the Celtics stifling defense that was really the headline of this game. Once again the C's frustrated and befuddled Kobe Bryant. When Kobe is yelling at the refs and missing dunks (YES HE MISSED A DUNK IN THIS GAME) you know something is going right on the defensive end. Kobe was very frustrated tonight and it showed. He was in foul trouble for a bunch of the night, but it was mostly the defense of the C's that was frustrating him. The Celtics held Kobe to, 11-23 from the field and a point total of 30, he also had 8 assists.Even with the Celtics stifling defense in the first three quarters, the Lakers certainly made it interesting down the stretch. The Celtics fell asleep on the defensive end and the Lakers made an amazing run at it to pull within 4 with just over a minute left to go in the 4th. After being down 24 with just over 7 1/2 min. to go, the Lakers went on a 31-11 run and were poised to pull off the biggest comeback in NBA finals history. The Lakers grabbed 41 points in the 4th quarter and gave everyone in Boston a heart attack.
In the end it was two clutch free throws from The Truth and James Posey that would seal the deal for the Celtics. This game should not have been this close. But this, is what the NBA finals are all about.
The Celtics are up 2-0 and are off to the Staples Center in LA. As Scotty Duque and Tim both said on Wicked Pissa Dude Radio, they think the C's can take on on the road. If they take one in LA and can win it at home.
Final Score: Celtics 108 - Lakers 102

As if this game needed more ties to history, when Paul Pierce returned to the floor late in the 3rd quarter, after being carried out by his teamates and wheeled to the locker room in a wheel chair, he jogged out of the tunnel and the crowd erupted, my mind immediately turned to the one and only Larry the Legend. Dear Pennsylvania,Really? Arlen Specter? This is the brilliant politician you have come to rely on to make decisions for you in one of the most powerful positions in the country? You've gone from the Constitutional Congress to this guy? What has happened? Do you really not care about the country that much? I truly do feel sorry for you that this guy is your Senator. I'll tell you why.
Instead of working towards solutions to the energy crisis, bringing down gas prices, ending a ridiculous war, solving poverty and crime, this genius is focused on the New England Patriots. He has time to focus on this? I barely have time to think about it and I have a 9-5 that doesn't really affect many people in the least. He is part of the governing body that runs this country. It is absolutely exhausting.
There is one thing Mr. Specter and I can see eye to eye on though. If my team was as bad as the Pittsburgh Steelers, I would be pissed that our "rival" was so good all the time. I mean when the Lakers had Kobe and Shaq and they were winning championships and the Celtics weren't, I hated them more then ever and would have done anything to take them down, including abusing my power as a United States Senator. I don't want to bash on the Steelers though, because they didn't ask for this moron to be their fan, he just is and they have to deal with that.
So I implore you, great citizens of Pennsylvania, when the next election comes around and Sen. Specter is up for reelection dump his ass. He is a disgrace to Democracy and the American way.
Sincerely,
Adam
P.S. What spurred me to write this open letter? This article. EXHAUSTING!!!
